Description:  Pinky and the Brain is an American animated series about two genetically engineered lab mice: the egomaniacal genius Brain and his dim-witted companion Pinky. In each episode, the two attempt to take over the world with a new, often absurd, plan, which inevitably fails due to Brain's hubris or Pinky's foolishness. The show was originally a segment on Animaniacs before getting its own spin-off series.

Characters:

Brain: A megalomaniacal, genius mouse who is frustrated by his companion's antics but secretly cares for him. He is often voiced in a style reminiscent of Orson Welles.

Pinky: An open-minded, cheerful, and simple-minded mouse who is Brain's best friend and sidekick. He often says nonsensical things and is easily distracted.

Premise: Each night, the mice try to take over the world. Brain formulates an elaborate, often complex, scheme, and Pinky's unintended actions, or the inherent absurdity of the plan, lead to its downfall.
