Marsupilami
Description:
The Marsupilami cartoon is an animated series based on the classic Belgian comic character created by André Franquin. Several distinct animated shows have been produced, most notably the 1990s Disney version and a later, more comic-accurate French series.
General Description: The central character is a rare, yellow, black-spotted, monkey-like creature with an incredibly long, strong, and prehensile tail. This tail is a versatile tool he uses for everything from bouncing high in the air (making a "boing" sound) to delivering powerful strikes.
Habitat: The Marsupilami is native to the fictional South American jungle of Palombia.
Communication: In the original comics and some French adaptations, the creature primarily says "Houba!" (or "Houbii!" for females) but can mimic sounds like a parrot. In the Disney version, he speaks full sentences in English.
Behavior: They are highly intelligent, can craft tools, and are fiercely protective of their nests and young. Their diet includes fruits, vegetables, and piranhas.
