SilverHawks
Description:
SilverHawks is an 1986 American animated television series about a team of futuristic, "partly metal, partly real" cyborg heroes who defend the Limbo Galaxy from the evil mob boss MonStar. Led by Commander Stargazer, the SilverHawks were created to fight against MonStar's criminal empire, using their cybernetic bodies and unique abilities to patrol the galaxy. The show, produced by Rankin/Bass Productions, is considered a space-themed successor to Thundercats.
Setting: The series is set in the 29th century in the Limbo Galaxy.
Team: The SilverHawks are a team of cyborgs assembled by Commander Stargazer to be the galaxy's law enforcement.
Quicksilver: The team's leader, a former human named Jonathan Quick, who is paired with his metal bird companion, Tally-Hawk. Steelheart and Steelwill: Twin siblings, Emily and Will Hart, who become the team's technician and strongman, respectively. Bluegrass: A country-singing pilot of the team's ship, the Maraj. The Copper Kid: A young mathematical genius who communicates through whistles and electronic tones.
Villain: The main antagonist is the intergalactic crime boss Mon*Star, who transforms into a monstrous, armor-plated creature with the help of the villainous Moonstar from Limbo.
Antagonists' allies: Mon*Star is aided by an intergalactic mob that includes characters like Yes-Man, Buzz-Saw, and the musically-inclined Melodia.
Legacy: Like Thundercats, SilverHawks had a line of merchandise, including action figures produced by Kenner. 7
