Description:  Paw Paws is a 1980s American animated series about a tribe of magical, tiny Native American-inspired bear cubs led by Princess Paw Paw who protect their forest home. When trouble arises, Princess Paw Paw uses her Mystic Moonstone to summon the great Totem Animals—Eagle, Bear, and Tortoise—to come to life and help defend the tribe from the evil sorcerer Dark Paw and his clan, the Meanos.

The Paw Paws: A tribe of small, cuddly bears who value friendship, honesty, and the environment. They are led by the benevolent Princess Paw Paw and advised by her father, Wise Paw.

The conflict: The main villain is Dark Paw, an exiled member of the tribe who seeks to steal the power of the Mystic Moonstone to control the totems and conquer the Paw Paws. He is aided by his aunt, the witch Pruney, and his bumbling minions, the Meanos.

Magical protectors: The tribe's primary defense is their enchanted totem pole. When Princess Paw Paw uses her moonstone, the three large wooden totems—Totem Eagle, Totem Bear, and Totem Tortoise—come to life to provide aid on land, sea, and air.

Other characters: The show also featured other characters, such as the cowardly Trembly Paw, the tribe's quack-like shaman Medicine Paw, and a sassy cat-like genie named Eugene.
