Pac-Man
Description:
The Pac-Man cartoon is a 1980s Hanna-Barbera animated series about Pac-Man, his wife Pepper (Ms. Pac-Man), their baby Pac-Baby, and their pets protecting their spherical world of Pac-Land from the villainous Mezmaron and his Ghost Monsters. The primary conflict centers on Mezmaron's attempts to steal the Power Pellets, which serve as both food and a power source for Pac-Land, from the Power Pellet Forest. The show was the first cartoon based on a video game and was a popular Saturday morning program.
Main characters: Pac-Man, his wife Pepper, their infant son Pac-Baby, their dog Chomp-Chomp, and their cat Sour Puss.
Setting: Pac-Land, a world where most things are spherical.
Villains: The evil wizard Mezmaron and his Ghost Monsters (Blinky, Inky, Pinky, Clyde, and Sue).
Plot: Pac-Man is the chief of security at the Power Pellet Forest and must protect the Power Pellets from Mezmaron, who wants to use them to take control of Pac-Land. The Ghost Monsters are sent to steal the Power Pellets.
Unique elements: The show's premise was the first to be based on a video game and features a world built around spherical shapes. It also incorporated numerous "Pac-" prefixes into words, such as "Pac-Hollywood," to create a unique style.
