Description:
The Comic Strip is a 1987 American animated series, the final production by Rankin/Bass Productions. It was an anthology show, with each 30-minute episode featuring two rotating 12-minute segments from a pool of four different cartoons.
The four rotating segments were:
The Mini-Monsters: Chronicled the adventures of two human children at a summer camp attended by the offspring of famous monsters like Dracula and Frankenstein.
Street Frogs: Depicted the escapades of a gang of street-smart, anthropomorphic frogs who were aspiring musicians and dancers.
Karate Kat: A crime-fighting cartoon featuring an anthropomorphic cat private investigator who used his martial arts skills to fight crime boss Big Papa.
TigerSharks: The only segment consistently shown in two parts per episode, it focused on a team of human/marine hybrids and their underwater adventures on the planet Water-O.
