Description:  Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space is a 1972 animated series about the band Josie and the Pussycats accidentally being launched into space, where they travel the galaxy, encounter strange aliens, and try to find their way home. The show is a spin-off of the original Josie and the Pussycats and introduces the new character Bleep, a small alien pet that only Melody can understand.

Premise: While posing for a publicity photo shoot in front of a spaceship, Alexandra's attempt to move to the front causes the group to fall into the ship and accidentally launch themselves into space.

Adventures: They travel the universe, landing on different planets to seek help, where they often encounter dictators, alien monsters, or other problems that they must help resolve.

Characters: The main cast from the original series is present, including Josie, Valerie, and Melody. A new character, Bleep, is a fluffy alien who joins them on their journey, and Melody is the only one who can understand him.
