Description:  Jabberjaw is a 1976 Hanna-Barbera animated series about a 15-foot talking great white shark who is the drummer for a rock band called "The Neptunes". Set in the year 2076, the show follows Jabberjaw and his teenage friends—Biff, Shelly, Bubbles, and Clamhead—as they travel to different underwater cities, playing concerts and fighting villains. The character of Jabberjaw, voiced by Frank Welker, is based on the comedian Curly from The Three Stooges and often complains, "I don't get no respect!".

Main characters: Jabberjaw (the shark), Biff (guitarist), Shelly (singer), Bubbles (keyboardist), and Clamhead (bassist).

Premise: The gang is a rock band, but they also act as crime fighters in the futuristic undersea world.

Influences: The show was created by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears and shares a similar format with Scooby-Doo, which was also created by Ruby and Spears. The shark character was inspired by the popularity of the 1975 movie Jaws.

Jabberjaw's personality: The shark has a Brooklyn accent and Curly's mannerisms. He is also an air-breathing, amphibious shark with the ability to change his shape to become various objects to help the group.
