Bleep and Booster
Description:
Bleep and Booster is a children's cartoon series created by William "Tim" Timym, which originally appeared on the BBC program Blue Peter between 1964 and 1969. It features the adventures of Bleep, an alien from the planet Miron, and his human friend Booster. The show used animatic animation, where still images were panned and zoomed to create the illusion of movement.
Bleep: An alien from the chrome-plated planet Miron. His species are robot-like with flexible limbs, antennae, and a third eye.
Booster: A human boy who becomes friends with Bleep after building his own rocket.
Bleep's father: A moustached captain of a spaceship who sends Bleep and Booster on galactic missions.
Miron: Bleep's home planet, a chrome world with its capital at Miron City.
The series consisted of 44 five-minute episodes, told across 10 separate stories. The animation style was animatic, meaning it used still drawings that were moved by the camera rather than traditional animation. The series was filmed in black and white.
