Description:  The "Journey to the Center of the Earth" cartoon was an animated series from the late 1960s about a group of explorers who descend into the Earth, encountering monsters and lost civilizations in a race against a villainous descendant of a previous explorer. The show follows Professor Lindenbrook, his niece Cindy, his student Alec, and a guide named Lars with his pet duck Gertrude.
