Pixie and Dixie
Description:
Pixie and Dixie is an animated cartoon series about two mice best friends, Pixie and Dixie, who are constantly trying to outsmart their nemesis, a cat named Mr. Jinks. The shorts were a segment of The Huckleberry Hound Show and are known for their humorous dialogue, similar in style to Tom and Jerry, but less violent. Mr. Jinks famously uses the catchphrase, "I hates those meeces to pieces!".
Protagonists: Pixie and Dixie are two best friends who are small, gray mice. Pixie wears a blue bowtie, while Dixie wears a red vest.
Antagonist: Mr. Jinks is a hip, beatnik cat who lives in the same house and is obsessed with catching the mice. He is known for his Southern drawl and his signature, grammatically incorrect phrase.
Plot: The shorts follow the mice's escapades as they outwit Mr. Jinks. While their relationship is mostly antagonistic, there are many times they are portrayed as friends or temporary allies.
